Last week we made a video to remind people about safe behaviour on the playground, which we shared at the community gathering today. We brainstormed things we had seen on the playground which were not safe, then got into groups to plan ways to show the right thing to do. The students could choose if they wanted to be an actor, a cameraperson, or an editor. The cameraperson in each group filmed the actors showing how to be safe on the playground. Once all the groups had filmed, the editors decided which takes were the best and put them into iMovie. Then I added a title slide and ending slide, since I didn’t know how to do it at first. Now that I do, I know that I can show the editors how to do it next time. Our video was a hit at the community gathering; if you missed it, send me an email and I will figure out how to export the movie!
